Privacy policy
Last updated: 5 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information TRVSX Digital collects, why, and what your rights are. I've kept it as short and plain as possible.
Who I am
TRVSX Digital is run by Travis Mooney, a sole trader based in Manchester, UK. I'm responsible for any personal information you share with me (the "data controller" under UK data protection law).
If you have any questions about this policy or your information, email travis@trvsxdigital.co.uk.
What I collect
- When you use the contact form: your name, business name, email address, phone number (if you give it), the service you're interested in and your message.
- When you email or message me: your contact details and whatever you include in your message.
- If you become a client: the information needed to deliver your project and invoice you, such as your business details, billing address, and the content and logins you share for your website or systems.
- When you visit this website: like most websites, my hosting provider automatically records basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is used to run and protect the site.
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and I don't use analytics tools that track you across other websites.
How and why I use it
| What I use it for | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Replying to your enquiry and preparing a quote or free mockup | Taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and my legitimate interest in responding to enquiries |
| Delivering the work you've hired me for and providing support | Performing our contract |
| Invoicing and keeping financial records | Legal obligation (tax and accounting law) |
| Keeping this website running securely | My legitimate interest in operating a safe, working website |
| Sending you occasional updates or offers | Only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
I will never sell your information or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who I share it with
I use a small number of trusted services to run my business. They only process your information to provide their service to me:
- Netlify: hosts this website and receives contact form submissions.
- Google Workspace: my business email, documents and storage.
- Google Fonts: provides the fonts on this website. Your browser connects to Google's servers to load them, which shares your IP address with Google.
If I use other tools for a client project, such as an automation platform, I'll tell you before any of your information goes into them. I may also share information if the law requires it.
Transfers outside the UK
Some of these providers store or process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens, the transfer is protected by safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the UK's approved data transfer agreements.
How long I keep it
- Enquiries that don't go ahead: up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Client records: for as long as we work together, then financial records are kept for as long as tax law requires, typically six years.
- Website logs: kept by my hosting provider for a limited period under their own policies.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information I hold about you
- ask me to correct anything that's wrong or incomplete
- ask me to delete your information
- object to, or ask me to restrict, how I use your information
- ask me to transfer your information to another organisation
- withdraw your consent at any time, where I rely on consent
To use any of these rights, email travis@trvsxdigital.co.uk. I'll respond within one month.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, please contact me first so I can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.
Keeping your information safe
I use reputable providers, secure passwords and two-step verification on my business accounts, and I only keep the information I need.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top.
